Karen Bilton has been working in the medical field since 1988. She is a graduate of the University of Sydney School of Physiotherapy, studied acupuncture at The University of Technology and received a Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine from Chinaherb, all located in Sydney, Australia. She has been practicing Oriental medicine since 1993 and worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and for the last 9 years the USA. While in Sydney Karen designed and coauthored an 18-month clinical research project, Traditional Chinese Medicine and People Living with HIV, A Quality of Life Study. Since arriving in the US she has continued her study of both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and has taught at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (New York campus). She has NYS licenses in acupuncture and physical therapy and is an NCCAOM Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Karen started her study of Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis in 1998 and has spent many hours under the direct guidance of Dr. Hammer. She currently practices in New York City where Contemporary Chinese Pulse diagnosis is the cornerstone of her practice. She continues her advanced studies with Dr. Hammer in Florida.
